Our Story
The idea for Found + Maed was sparked during the 2020 lockdown. I (Rebekah) have always loved creating things and have a heart for business. Found + Maed launched in March 2020 as a resale clothing shop on Instagram called Simply Resale.
In July 2020, the shop expanded to Etsy with the addition of handmade hair accessories. Six months later, the Etsy shop was given a new name, Rebekah Maed. The name was chosen as a play on my name (Rebekah Mae), a tribute to my late grandmother (whom I am named after), and a way to express a focal point on handmade items featured in the shop.
In July 2021, after being on Etsy for a year, the two shops (Simply Resale and Rebekah Maed) merged into the shop it is today, Found + Maed.
Found + Maed has also become a shop with a deeper purpose. The hope is that the message of Found + Maed and the items sold will point people back to the truth that people’s Identity is Found in the one who Maed them. Found + Maed continues to grow as it offers new items centered around a deeper meaning.
